Career Services Quick Queries
We offer quick queries for resume or cover letter reviews and to answer shorter career questions. These 15-minute meetings with a Career Advising & Professional Development staff member take place in E17-294. This service is available to all MIT students and recent alumni of the Institute.
Quick query spots become available to schedule on CareerBridge one week prior. A small number of spots will become available at 9am the day of. (No drop-in appointments will be available.)

Career Services Appointments
Schedule career appointments year-round for in-depth discussions about resume/cover letter reviews, career exploration, internship or job search strategies, and mock interviews. Resume/cover letter appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, while all others are 50 minutes long. Call or email to set up a video or telephone appointment. To schedule an appointment:
- Log into CareerBridge and click "Advising"
- Schedule in person at the E17-294 reception desk
- Schedule by calling 617-715-5329
Drop-ins are held during the school year every Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in E17-294. There are no Prehealth Advising drop-ins during IAP and the summer. Use drop-ins for quicker questions (15 minutes).
Schedule prehealth appointments for general prehealth needs, essay critiques or practice interviews. Call 617-715-5328 to schedule an in-person, video or phone appointment (generally 30-60 minutes). Call in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you are 15 minutes late for an appointment, you will need to reschedule. For essay critique appointments, you should send your essay 24 hours prior to your appointment to the assigned counselor. For critiques via email, send a Word document version (no PDFs) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Reviewed essays should be returned within 3-4 days.
Global Education Drop-ins
Global Education offers roaming advising sessions within various academic departments across campus in addition to webinars and information sessions for an overview of study abroad opportunities. See our events page for details. For quick questions about going abroad, students can email email@example.com or stop by the office (E17-294) during business hours (M-F, 9 am – 5 pm) to speak with the Program Assistant. Students will be encouraged to make an appointment with a Global Education Advisor.

You can schedule appointments with a Global Education advisor in CareerBridge. Schedule individual advising appointments to identify and explore global options that best fit your needs, academic plans, and professional goals.
