Medical interpreters help facilitate linguistic-cultural communication between patients and health care providers. By federal law, hospitals must provide Limited English Proficient patients with qualified medical interpreters. If you're interested in languages, cultures, and/or careers in healthcare, come learn about: - the policies that guide hospitals' use of medical interpreters; - how interpreters are trained and certified; - their roles and responsibilities; - how doctors and other health care professionals work with them to provide effective care.
